To get the standard comparison measurement, do you measure the full length of the tube to the far ends of the metal caps at each end? Or just to the closer inside ends of the metal caps? Or...?

How did you find out the max amp at which your tube should be driven? It is hard to examine my tube due to all of the stickers and electrical tape but so far I have not found any information etched to the tube or or printed on a label. I am going back with a flashlight an mirror to look some more.

Thanks!

Thanks, Dave. With your table, my latest attempt at measurements and a bit more information that I just found on a label on the back side of the tube, I do believe I now know my tube model and its power current limit. I was finding it hard to believe my measurements because they were not one of the commonly quoted measurements here on the forum but thanks to your table I now see there can be +/- 20mm of variance!

For others who search and find this thread, it does appear you measure the full length of the tube to the from far ends of the metal cap and/or glass cap at each end of the tube.

I do appreciate you posting the info.
