How do you keep the laser in good condition

How do you keep the laser in good condition?

I am not talking about cleaning the Lens and the Mirrors, but in general, like are you lubricating the rails or....?
And how do you clean it?
Any good advice is much appreciated

I don' t know what's going on when I try to PM you.
