Good Morning Everyone,
The good news is that I came off of oncall duty yesterday morning. It was busy for oncall but I managed just fine. A buddy of mine at work has been helping me work on a project for our local bowling alley who was wanting more storage space and counter space. Phase 1 was a new shoe rack for behind the customer service counter and that was done and delivered. Phase 2 is cabinet storage, a place for an office chair for a small desk, and new counter top to go on top of the new cabinets.

This blue is the end-cap for the cabinets and a rest for the counter top on one end. The top is 125" long by 26" wide. Cabinets are three 24" wide drawer units and one 18" drawer unit. Custom stain color and top coated with 4 coats of semi-gloss lacquer.

The LOML and I worked on an upholstery job for a good friend of mine and here's proof of that.

We grilled out yesterday and had family over for a meal and time to play games together. I can say....it is really nice to be back in the shop again.

That's it for me, so what did YOU do this past Labor Day weekend?
Best of weeks to you all!

Dennis, that upholstery work is done wonderfully!

I spent a good deal of time in the shop this weekend after a week of painting two rooms in the house...our eating area next to the kitchen and my older daughter's room. Painting apparently was how I got to spend a vacation week. LOL At any rate, in the continuing saga of my buffet/hutch project, I'm happy to say that "we're ready for final sanding and finishing of the hutch portion to match the buffet portion already installed in the house. A little taste of that is down below. I also did a quickie project to create a hat-rack for my ball-caps since Professor Dr. SWMBO has taken over my coat tree for her beekeeping veils, jackets and full body suit. :)

Oh, and these are the painting projects...the recently custom built door is visible in the first photo.
