Clear finish for Ambrosia Maple?

I'm working on the latest "Honey-Do" project. Looking for a clear finish that will not give a yellow cast to Ambrosia Maple.

Will clear shellac actually leave a clear finish, or will a poly finish be a better choice?

Use something water borne, Gary. Can't specify a product as Australian and US coatings don't have the same names necessarily. Cheers

Gary, as Wayne recommends - a clear waterborne from any of the good suppliers would work (GF, Target and so on). If you don't want it to look like it was shrink wrapped, I would stay away from the cheaper polys

maple will yellow somewhat on its own, has been my experience.
