I'm building a farm table for my daughter in law. She wanted reclaimed pine, so we got it. My question is about the width of the boards. I have 2 that are 12" and the rest are 6 to 8".

Is there a problem in using the 12", or should I rip them to smaller pieces? They are 1 1/2" thick, if that matters. I'm planning on using dominos for top and breadboards.
Thank for your help,
Ronnie

Arrange the boards so they look good.If you have to cut the wider one to make it look good then so be it.
I don't understand why you need Dominos for the top and ends.
Maybe you don't have a jointer?

I do have a jointer. She wants to leave some of the patina on top. I thought the Dominos would help to align the top. I planned on running the edges through jointer with top against fence.

Oh I see how that could work if you have boards that are different thickness at least the top will be flat.
Good luck sounds like a fun project.
