Hello all, I was lucky enough to acquire a boatload of 100 year old reclaimed red and white oak from a few buildings near my dad's house , He surprised me one day with a few boards that at first I couldn't see much use for Ive never worked with anything like that before , but some one needed a couple end tables so I figured that was a good start so here's some of the before pic342938 and this is the after 342939 i finished it with BLO and intend to try some real high gloss lacquer as a top coat I know its crap compared to the stuff you guys are doing but thanks for looking and have a great day !

Several years ago, I tore out an interior wall in the old barn on our place. I salvaged a lot of wood. It turned out to be white oak and much of it was quarter sawn. The wood just seems to get harder and the color more beautiful over the decades.

Yep, I'd say your first attempt at an end table was a total success. I'm a fan of the top too. Nice work!

Good looking wood and good grain match. That is a nice looking table, definitely not crap, and I've noticed woodworkers never admit it, even it's true. I have seen suspect work in some high dollar arty type gallerys.

The drawer pull really adds to the design and gives a modern feel to the piece.

I agree, very nice job with wood I likely would have thrown in my wood stove.
