Lee Valley no longer sells this pneumatic sanding drum - can anyone remember who the manufacturer was (is)? Could it be a Dynacushion from Dynabrade?

I called Lee Valley customer service but they said their records from ten years ago do not specify the original supplier.

The original discontinued item is here - http://www.leevalley.com/US/wood/page.aspx?p=44993&cat=1 and a picture is here.

Thank you.

Would something like this be close?

Presumably you won't need to buy the Sioux hand held pneumatic motor to turn them.

Google "pneumatic sanding drums"

Guinevere is the brand I remember seeing often mentioned in scroll sawing forums, the 2" (#11351) is available on eBay dot ca for $38.98 .

No idea on that part, but maybe an oscillating spindle sander would be a nice upgrade from such a tool?

Curt - Thank you - that is indeed something that I will look into - the other Lee Valley ones still available for sale are too small for my needs.
Ken - My fault for not mentioning that 2" is too small - I need something larger.
Ben - I already have a spindle sander. The problem with hard drums though is they cut straight. Pneumatic drums cut in curves.
Mike - Thank you - what I was looking for.

To all - greatly appreciate the help - thank you!

Malcolm
