I can get some cherry and mulberry for picking it up. Freshly cut. What to make out of it, and when?

Bowls. Cherry might be beyond salvage. Seal the ends of the mulberry before you lose that too.

It's not too fresh based on th checking in the cherry, else I'd say turn it into a bowl or something. You could still cut it up into blanks for pepper mills or something.

Use it as is for a stool?
