Hi.....our 15" woodtek planer is not feeding. We bought the thing used. The table base is smooth, waxed and bottom roller rolls fine but the top feed roller is frozen.....is it motorized or just supposed to free roll like the bottom ? I cant find any manuals for this online. The cutting blade roller turns fine. We are a little clueless on this and are hesitant to tear the whole thing apart but looks like we might have to. Any input would be appreciated .

The feed roller is powered by a gear driven chain. Take the side cover off and see if the chain is loose or the sprocket to the feed roller damaged.

Is this the planer you have? If so, it's a Delta Dc-380 clone.

There is likely a lever on the side of the planer to engage and disengage the feed rollers. It may also shift between two different feed speeds. Check to ensure this lever isn't in the "neutral" position. Go to Grizzly's website and check out the manual for one of their 15" planers. While it may not be identical to your Woodtek planer, it should be close enough to be helpful. The feed rollers and the chipbreaker can also be adjusted up or down in relation to the cutterhead; if they are not adjusted properly then a board may not feed. The feed rollers are geared down in relation to the cutterhead, so you probably can't turn them by hand. As another poster mentioned, there could also be a problem with the chain drive for the feed rollers.
