This could be a gloat. I picked up 17 industrial bandsaw blades at a flea market.($50 for all) All but 4 are Starrett Powerband Matrix II type anywhere from ¾ inch to 1 ¼ 4 TPI to 10 TPI .035 to .042 thickness. The others are Milford/H.G. Thompson blades at ¾ inch 4 TPI .032 thickness. Only 3 are welded, rest are raw blades at anywhere from 11 feet 3 inch to 21 feet long. I’m running a jet 18” bandsaw so I believe I have the power to use the larger blades; question is well I be wasting my time brazing all these blades up to the 133” length for my saw? I assume they’re all metalworking blades with the exception of the Milfords. Has anyone had any experience with the Starrett’s? will probably be spending Father’s day brazing some of these anyway..any recommendations?
