I made this small microwave stand to take up space that wasn't useful. All hand work except resorted to the tailed screaming beast for the drawer edges. Wanted to match existing cabinets.

Nice work Jim!

+1 on that. I just put a hunk of 2x4 behind our micro wave to hold it out from the wall.

There is a drawer in the 2x4, but nothing is in it.

Nice use of space, Jim. Well done! If truth be told, I've been known to use a few neutrons from time to time

Thanks Phil. Sometimes the small things are as difficult as large projects. There are still 42 dovetails, rabbets, grooves and other work on this project. I guess age has something to do with power tools. I have them, I will use them when necessary, the noise just seems to take away from my normal peaceful place. That noise just stays around for days.

Ha ha Joe, There is a receptacle 6" out of the corner on the right and a GFCI about 1 foot on the left, behind the coffee maker. The secret is that's where the wires are.

Nicely done!

Out of curiosity, which tool is the "tailed screaming beast"? Assuming that by "edges" you mean the profile on the faces it's presumably a router or shaper?

Thanks Patrick. The screaming beast is indeed a router.
