Hi gang,
I feel like I should know this by now...
I'm importing drawings from a .pdf into X5 and the
text is an outline and I can't fill it. I've tried importing as text, converting to curves,
combining, you name it.....no luck.
Am I missing something?

Try opening object manager and check to see how many layers you're dealing with or what options are open in terms of editing, printing and viewing. Did you try ungrouping it before filling?

Good to see you on the forum again.

Hi Mike,
In the object manager it's Artistic Text. I can pick any line just like normal. It just doesn't
seem to allow and modifying.
Ok....so weird....I just typed in the word TEST and it was fine, now I can't do anything with it either...

OK, makes no sense but here's what's working.
I import the .pdf into Corel drawing. Then I copy it and paste into a
NEW Corel drawing...

I have had a few times where a particular drawing was doing weird things. Select all, copy and paste into a new drawing resolved the problem. I have no idea what the problems really were but they went away with my "fix"...
