Nice looking old meat saw!

Its old enough you can probably re-file the blade, but if not I'd bet you can find a new one that has the same hole-hole measurement with a bit of searching.

I just got one a lot like it. I sharpened it and used it to cut large diameter PVC pipe. It worked OK for that, if a bit grabby.

Are the blades on that saw consistent with the length of current hacksaw blades? It looks like the saws we used to see in the stockyards in Kansas City.

hole to hole length is 16", blade is 3/4" wide. I haven't looked at how many teeth per inch is has,

It MIGHT make a decent frame saw blade?

Look for a butcher supply shop. It should be no problem getting a replacement blade. Used to cut bone. An old meat packer turned nurse/retired.

Looks like LEM stocks blades in your length (surprisingly butcherpacker didn't):

It might work for a frame saw blade, not sure - the tooth aspect is a bit different than most wood saws on the blades I have, and they're generally fairly hard for going through bone. One way to find out, let us know how it works :D
