Thompson 1/2 V John Jordan

I got home today and the mailman had delivered my new Thompson 1/2 V bowl gouge. So like a kid at Christmas I tore into the package. Right below the flute, the gouge has "John Jordan" stamped on it. I didn't order any of his professional tools, just the standard 1/2 V bowl gouge. Is this a mix up or do all his standard bowl gouges say John Jordan on them?

Got to be a mix up of sorts. Doug makes a specific tool for John Jordan to sell as his "custom" shape. (he does this for several of the more famous turners). Generally those tools are a bit more MSRP than the regular Thompsons. Give Doug a shout if you really want to return and exchange it. He will do whatever makes you a satisfied customer. He's just like that!
