Has anyone used NON-ACETONE NAIL POLISH REMOVER. to clean the blades before you use CerMark on them. I did some test runs on my wife's knive's & it worked. The only problem is, the wife's knives where used. The Buck knives are new...lol. Like to get some feed back on this, plus what other people use.

Denatured alcohol works fine for me. Acetone has a much faster evaporation rate and may not work as well. All you are really trying to do is remove any grease/oil or dirt.

What Gary said, you just want it clean. I get good results using Fantastik. :)
