Dating more recent block plane

A neighbor just gave me a Stanley Block Plane G12-020. Haven't fooled with it yet, but after a bit of searching the internet, can't find when Stanley went to the 12- numbering. Any one know or have production dates for this particular model?

Mine is a G12-060 low angle block made in England. No dates, but the plane is surprisingly good.

My G12-060 (made in England) was bought new in the 1980s if my memory is working. The plane works fine.
