Beech Hat

I have not turned Beech before but will again when I get the chance. Technically this is a work in progress as it has only one coat of WOP finish (more to come). I do not plan to make it glossy. It fits me so about a size 7-1/4. Comments and critiques welcome.

Beautiful hat and from a noticeably difficult wood, did you do any special treatment to the wood before or after turning it, I always have had Beechwood shrink more than other woods, so had to turn it thin to finish.
