I am attempting to take the easy approach to flatten my 47" tabletop. I lost about 15 pounds trying to hand plane it. I found one place that I will not name, but $300 an hour sounded a little steep to me. I understand the equipment cost and everyone has to make a living so I will not knock them. I thought I was going to see $1-150 an hour.

Does anyone one know of any in the PA/NJ/DE area? I am fairly familiar with the mills around, just not all the equipment they have.

Thanks!!

If you're ok with driving your table top to Southern Chester County, Hearne Hardwoods has a 67" Timesavers in their shop. I haven't ever had them mill anything for me but can't imagine they'd charge $300.

Peter,

Thank you, I am familiar with Hearne and have been there quite a few times. I just sent you a private message as well.
