Hello fellow woodworkers, I got a new PM209 20" planer a while ago and have been trying to find a 5" converter for it. I currently have dust collection from a 4" hose. I have to rig it to work, I usually just tape it around the opening. I tried the one from Rockler, but it was not big enough to go around the 5" port. Anyone have experience with this, I need to get a better solution.

Thanks in advance.

Charles

I ran 6" flexhose to mine, but same concept as you. It should be pretty easy to get a standard HVAC reducer from 5x4 to fit the port. It certainly makes you wonder why on Earth they chose 5"?! Who runs 5" ductwork and hose? I think I ended up buying my reducer from home depot or lowes the day i received the machine.

I use "Fernco" type plumbing couplings for hooking up different size DC hoses....
