Running a fiber source at 100% power, good/bad

I've heard opinions that are on both sides of this, and I know we have some very savvy people here, so what is the general opinion of running your source at 100%. CO2 glass tubes work best at a certain amperage, but how about fiber?

Fibres aren't quite so twitchy Nev, 5% margin can be used but on most of the sources you will be good at 100%
