Ryobi detail sander

Found a Ryobi detail sander on sale. Would it make a good tool for sanding a piece on a lathe while the lathe is running?

You can use anything you want but you'll be disappointed with the results. Use a regular drill or even better a quarter angle drill for use on a lathe while it's running.

I agree with David BUT it can be useful for sanding carved detials

I passed on it. It was a return with a tag that read " runs slow"
