I'm wondering if the jig can be mounted at a angle from the ways other than the 90 degree angle shown in videos? I've done pendants using a 2 by 4 scrap piece in two of the four jaws of a chuck. The 2 by 4 can be tilted out to make an interesting shape to the hole in the piece. I wonder if the Jig can do that.

The Sorby Eccentric Chuck (NOT cheap) may be able to do what you are thinking. It's hard to visualize. The Sorby E.C. has an off axis jig that may do what you want.

Dave use a wedge shaped "interface block" - a custom glue block. The wedge angle is 1/2 the total angular difference you want to achieve in the final product. Turn both faces using the "interface block." Many turners use these with strong double sided adhesive tape to make the pendants. Various combinations can be achieved using square and wedged turning angles, and may require multiple mounts.

I believe there is a AAW journal article on building a pendant chuck that allows for off-axis turning as well as the Joyner style offsets.

I believe it was published in the last 2 years.

Thank you, that was the article I was thinking of.
