I saw the Vermec hollowing system and it mounts into your tool rest and has a bronze bushing where the tool passes through and a bearing below that where it turns. Looks like a nice way to do things and it is large and looks sturdy. It`s sold buy Woodturners Emporium in Las Vegas. I just don`t know anyone that has seen one or used one. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Dok,
I have used one and they are very well designed and made. The way I was taught to use it was with the cutter upside down, on the backside of the vessel, so you dont have to lean way over the bed. I missed buying a 2nd hand setup, real cheap, but I could not justify the cost of a new one to do a few hollow forms.
Rgds,
Richard.
