That's pretty spiffy work. How long did it take?

Very cool! Fantastic looking! How do you keep the leather from getting too thin with so much surface removed?

Hi mike, took 10 hours!

hi keith, not that much surface removed, leather burns/marks very easily. The leather is 2.5mm thick, about only .5 removed. I used PicLaser with feed rate at 4000mm/min. cheers

Very beautiful work, just think how fast you could do that with a CO2 laser. Sell a couple of those seats and you could buy a nice co2:)

hi bert, i looked at the C02 setups, but needed something open, so i could pass long items through. My next project will be a rifle case, so about 50inchs long. cheers

Same here Caroline. I think that is a feature on most Chinese lasers. The front and rear openings are normally relatively short in height. Mine is 3 inches for example. But if asked most of the companies will modify the case to accommodate taller items going through the door. My laser is a 900x600mm table so I can pass anything through up to a 3ft width.

And most importantly of course, that is is one pretty bike seat!!!! Congrats on a great job!!! Very impressive!
