This rather plain in design wild black cherry bowl came from a pretty good size tree. The bowl is 15.5 in. wide X 8.5 in. high. I roughed turned this bowl last October and coated it with Anchorseal. I lucked out with it not having a single crack, and when I went to the dentist he asked me if I had been turning any bowls. I said I happened to have one with me, and it was this one. He walked out to the car and bought it. It has 5 coats of tung oil solution, and then buffed. Your comments as always are welcomed.

I can see why he bought it. I hope he paid you according to his hourly charge.

Incredibly beautiful piece of wood and a nice form to display it. As always, Glenn wonderful execution. My dentist is also a customer as are a lot of his dentist friends. :)

Very nice Glenn. I like the way you did the rim. Obviously the dentist did too. Congrats on the happenstance sale.

Very nice Glenn. I love cherry and finding a piece that size that doesn't self-destruct when it dries is a feat in itself!

Very lovely bowl. I would have traded 2 future root canals with that dentist, if I were you! At the price of root canals these days it would have been a good price. Phil :D
