looking for heavy duty tip out hinges
I am finishing my cabinets and need to build a tip out bin for dog food, This will be above a drawer with the food bowls mounted in it. I would like it to hold about 50 lbs of weight. I have not been able to find a suitable hidden hinge solution for the bin, only the small ones meant for a tip out sink front. I can install a metal slide brace on each side at the top as a stop at about 25 degrees. I would rather not have a piano hinge or similar sticking out the front. I plan to reinforce the face frame with 1/2 in angle iron if the hinges mount to it. Cabinets are 1/2 ply and poplar face frames pocket screwed together.
the other option is building it as a very deep drawer with 4 slides, but we would prefer it to be a tip out.
