Hey Guys
I thought I would come out and introduce myself,Im currently a U.S.P.S truck driver, for about 4 years now. I used to lay sewer lines (8 years). After I got tired of that I built cabinets for a contractor for about (5 years). Although I have always had a interest in woodworking for about 20 years, I have only managed to do only 1 coffee - 1 shaker Hall table - 1 set of End tables - And tons of outdoor Furniture - And a bunch of small misc stuff on my own.
Of course when you work a day job for 6-7 days aweek doesent give much time left to chase clients and do the woodwork itself !! I do hope someday that will change. But until I get more time I guess Ill just have to keep trying to squeez
it in ! Seth...
These are some of my Dedicated Machines that I collected over over years, all are American made machines.

That's some seriously nice stuff, Seth. If you run out of space, I'm sure I could fit that bandsaw in my shop quite handily. ;) And how big is that planer? Is it the scale of the picture, or is that thing as huge as it looks?

Oh, and welcome to the Creek. You'll have a hard time finding a better group of woowdorking people. Thanks for the intro and the pics.

Ya Its a separate building, garage slash shop, although I dont like parking our cars in it sometimes my wife parks hers in it.
The Planer is a Powermatic 180 18" - about 1600 pnds. I have 3 18" carbide
knifes in it wich I have not had to or will have to sharpen for a long time.
P.S. Vaughn if anything ever happens to me I will give you first dibs on the bandsaw.LOL

Welcome aboard, Seth! Keep making things whenever time allows...even "low production" can be satisfying. In fact, make sure your projects are things you enjoy! You have a great looking shop and tools, too.

Seth,

Welcome aboard.

That is some super nice stuff you have. I really like your drill accessory cabinet. Any way to talk you out of a close up shot of that if you get a chance? I may like to steel some ideas from you. We are all a bunch of idea thiefs around here :D :D

Good to have you with us and don't be a stranger.

Seth,

Nice dispaly of iron! The bandsaw is the one I have (mine's circa Aug 1957 - got the date on yours?). That Powermatic planer is a workhorse. One of the local lumber dealers has one. You just about can't kill 'em.

Welcome to the Creek!

Welcome to this sawdust domacile. You call that a shop? That is no shop.... that is a hangout! A place to spend quality time:D That critter hanging on the wall is a sure give away.

You have got a nice collection of vintage machines. Clean, focused and light weight. I really do like your rockwell bansaur. Is that beastie a single speed or does it have iron cutting gear boxes and pulleys in back?

Now if I could only get my shop to look so neat! Keep up the good work.
