I'm starting on a project that requires the whitest wood I can find. I need to find a source for holly. Does anyone know of a source that carries holly in 3/4"?
That's probably asking for too much. Maybe 1/2" ?

Thanks
Lou

Ash is pretty white and cheap!

I've had the best luck purchasing holly on e-bay. No other sources ever panned out for me. Another option is to use wood bleach. It works quite well. Available at Woodcraft. e-mail if you have any other questions. Hope this helps.

Lou,
Groff & Groff has Holly, and ships. No problem.

Lou,

Since I don't know what you are working on this suggestion may not be viable but, if you need the "white wood" for inlays or banding then you might want to consider white Corian solid surface counter top material which can be worked just like wood and is perfectly white.

Lou,

Check out aspen. It is as white as holly, and more readily available in larger sizes.

Try Curlywoods.com. I have purchased Holly there and was very satisfied.

Aspen is also avail at local borgs here in Ohio. Check if Aspen will do. Borgs have it near pre-cut hobby woods section. I know they have 3/8-1/2 but I'm not sure about 3/4.
