Thanks Jim! Believe it or not, I'm in the middle of an Atkins saw restoration...will be a fun read while waiting for the glue to dry.

I have one of their booklets a little older that I bought off ebay. It's from the late 19th Century, and has all sorts of interesting charts in it, like the number of shingles (wooden) required for various exposures of a number of different width shingles.

Cool! A little bit of info in there about the no 51 skewback I just found.

Jim,

Thanks for posting. I looked at it for a while, and it is a neat booklet! Very interesting, and fun to read.

Again, much appreciated.

Thanks and regards,

Stew

Dang, this got me looking at Atkins saws again. As luck would have it I found the 5 1/2 TPI rip I have been looking for. Interesting saw, apparently made by Atkins for C.E. Jennings & Co.. I think they were a hardware store in New York.

Great to have a reference guide.
