Here is another Box Elder hollow form this one has lots of tight curl and some nice red flame. it measures 7 5/8" tall X 5" wide. Finish is Rocklers Gel Poly and buffed on the Beall

Jim, that form is excellent. The lines are as near perfect as I have seen, and the color graps the attention to make this a very pleasing piece.

Just curious, what size blank did you start with. Vase looks pretty large but photos are deceiving. Thanks, Brian

This blank was about 12" long by 6X6
I have another one that looks the same its alot bigger close to 14" tall X 8" wide I will be finishing it up soon.

Beautiful vase Jim. That box elder with the flame is really something. I'd forgotten about that stuff when we discussed a trade, but I'll bet that would be really hard to let go of as a equal trade to mesquite. How about I throw in a leg or maybe an arm? :D
