These dimensions are for the smaller version of Norm's Jewelry Chest. The dimensions are based on his drawing and won't make much sense unless you have the drawing at hand. I had the drawing photo copied and then altered the dimensions on the copy for use in the shop. I did not change the depth of the box, just the length and hight.

To start, in the upper left of the drawing, the view called, "Major Anatomy:

Lid, change 18" to 15". Change the length of the mirror frame to 12 3/8". Change the knob distance from the edge of the drawer from 3" to 2". Change the front base trim from 18 1/4" to 15"

On the view labeled "Side Layout":

Change the over all high, on left side, from 12 1/2" to 11". On right side change the drawer slots from 2 1/16 to 2" - 3 3/8" to 2 1/2" and the leg from 3 1/2" to 3". Under the bottom change the leg length from 3 1/16 " to 2 9/16"

On the view labeled, "Hidden Compartment"

Change the length from 16 3/16" to 12 15/16"

On the view called, "Base Trim"

Change the length of the front from 18 1/4" to 15". Change the hight from 3 1/2" to 3"

In the middle of the drawing, top. View called, "Plan view of shelves (3 required)".

Change the length from 16 3/4" to 13 1/2". In the view called, "Drawers", change length from 16 3/16" to 12 7/16". View called "Pattern for base trim". Change 3 1/2" to 3" and take the difference off of the bottom of the feet.

Right side of drawing, view called, "Dovetail layouts" Change 3 5/16" to 2 7/16" and change 2" to 1 15/16"

That's about it. Don't take my word for the changes. Check them yourself and if they don't quite add up right, proceed at your own risk.

On the view called, "Section through case", change the false front dimensions from 2" X 16 1/4" to 1 15/16" X 13"

And in the materials list change the 1/8" mirror size from 6" x 15" to 6" X 11 3/4".

You also have to change the dimensions of the 1/4" plywood back but you can figure that one out as you go along.

The drawer length should be 12 15/16" not 12 7/16", sorry.
