Do you guys ad more oil to the gas than the normal 2% ?
Do you guys use or mix a different kind of chain oil ?

in my older saws i run 40:1. they are husqvarna 2100"s. milling is hard on saw with long periods of full throttle.

you can use canola oil for an enviornmentally friendly bar oil. it works well, even better than regular bar oil, but can gum up if you do not use your saw often enough. and it smells real good out in the woods.

Re oil/gas mix - absolutely. When you're running a chainsaw mill you usually have the saw at full throttle for several minutes at a time. Most high quality chainsaw mechanics recommend a 40:1 mix (high quality synthetic oil) for chainsaw milling, in lieu of the standard 50:1 mix with today's saws.
