View Full Version : What happened to the g0634xp?

I have been planning out my future shop basically every day I'm in my current shop. I had always planned to upgrade to a grizzly g0634xp because it is a 12" combo with sprial head and can go closer to a wall then some of the other models. But now it isn't in their catalog?
What happened to it?
what other options are out there?

My issue with that one is they call out the size as 59.5"x45"x42". 42"?! I need almost 4' from the wall to house that. The g0634xp was 67.5"x41.5"x24". Better in every dimension for my shop

I see the difference between the XP and Z models. The XP has an 'end mounted' fence that resembles the fence of a tablesaw or bandsaw. The Z fence is mounted like most other jointers, extending from behind the cutterhead.

Maybe they are working on a 16" version for under $3,000 ��

I get 25" out from wall when I measure my GO634XP

That's exactly why I bought the G0634XP about a year ago. The 42" was a deal breaker for me. Too bad is no longer available.

I suppose I can always look at the Jer version, looks to be about 30" wide. Or if I have enough cash maybe look at the felder or minimax versions

weird because it isn't in the most recent catalog I have. I couldn't find it on their site when I searched for it. Fingers crossed

You don't have to cross your fingers much. If it doesn't show up, you can take it up with with Grizzly's President.

That would be Shiraz.

or take up the need for an (affordable) 16" sprial combo in the same configuration!
