Enough White Oak 4x6's for a Roubo or two and plenty of Basswood for windsor seats.

Easy enough score, just had to cut it and haul it to my sawmiller. Not kiln dried, but the WO had been down for several years as there was no sapwood left on it. Probably wont make the bench for about 5 more years.

Cody,

Are the ends coated to prevent checking?

No I just cut them over long. They are over 8' long and I am planning on a 7' bench.

Cody, I'm no expert on air drying planks but for turning billets, I've had way better luck when I seal the ends with something. It might be worth looking into.

I've had okay results even by just using old paint that was on it's way to the dumpster.

BTW, That's an awesome pile of white oak!

11' long, 11.5" wide, 8/4 planed and straight edged - 2 boards, clear.

Very nice score. Congratulations.
