Couple of questions regarding Photo Engraving software...

First of all which is considered the best software for engraving a photo on to various type of material (wood, acrylic, stone, etc.)?

The one I've heard/read about the most is PhotoGrav, I'm assuming there are others, or is PhotoGrav the best?

Also, when engraving a photo of something like and famous person, Album Cover, sports figure, etc. do I have to worry about copy rights, or getting into any of that kind of trouble?

Thanks for any input/information you can provide.

There is also 1-touch Laser Photo from ULS. You can download a 30 day trial, unlike Photograv.
It is cheaper than Photograv to buy also.

There are also some free / opensource programs for this: http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/CAM#2D_.28Laser_or_plasma_machines.29

Yes, Dan, you do need to worry about copyrights if you are selling your goods. Just about everything created in the last 100 years is protected in some form or fashion. You'll want to do some research on what's copyright protected as well as where you can obtain images that you are able to license for commercial use if you aren't interested in graphic design.
