Been out of the shop a few days and decided I needed to create, and learn something. I had ordered a while back a stack of sample wood sheets, all seem to be 1/16th", to show customers different samples for finished look of their furniture. They are all approx 4 x 8 inches. I decided tonight to play around and see what I could learn.

I had no idea how much fun inlays are and how much they can add to a finished box, drawer front, etc. I ended up creating a jig to press the inlays into the larger wood piece, between two pieces of aluminum stock. Only spent a few hours on it tonight but it seems the opportunities are endless. Seems like I don't read a lot about this process but, maybe, it's because I hadn't focused on it.
