If you after small sizes of stainless, try a local sheetmetal shop. Most shops have leftover(or rem. material) metal from other jobs they have done and the cost is a lot less than buying a full sheet. I know this because I go through our scrap bin each week and pull out some nice small pieces of stainless to run through my laser.
