I am going to just wait until Ted adds the plans to his website.

I am just going to admit that I don't have the patience, and possibly the skill, to make all those pieces fit in a satisfactory way. I just stand in awe of the person(s) who designed this thing and actually made it work.

That's such a cool design. I have a new dining table on my honey-do list, but for our space we want something long, not round. Do you know of any similarly awesome designs for a rectangular dining table?

There are a few out there. Search Youtube for expanding tables. There are many different designs and styles, they just havent gotten popular yet because no one has put together a hardware package and plans to sell a kit making it doable for anyone/everyone.

Wes,

do a Google search on "drawleaf table". Tommy Mack built one on his show and there is a youtube video of that show. I have added one to my bucket list.

Thanks Ken! I found it here - https://vimeo.com/99054943

This perfectly meets the criteria my wife wants in a dining table, plus mine, which is no hardware. I gotta finish my shop bench and I'll get started on this. Looks like fun!
