Well I made my first attempt at making hand cut dovetails. It was quite an experience. Take a look on the Neander Page (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2420)

Just wanted you to see I do more than just hang out in the chat room all day :)

All right! Now go make something with dovetail corners, practice - practice - practice.

Your first try looks good. What kind of saw do you use?

Charles,

I used a Disston Dovetail saw, the kind with the straight back handle (maybe the 68?) it looks like this http://www.disstonianinstitute.com/dvtl/Diss681.jpg ...it was my grandfather's and is one of my most cherished items. Even if I never cut dovetail correct, everytime I use it I would feel like he was showing me how to do something again :)
