I don't recognize the term "stuffed" in the context of tools. Could this be english idiom for an infill, or is it something else?

Can someone please teach me?

Thank you!
Fred

It could mean the throat is choked / stuffed with shavings? Just guessing

Infill plane.

Tony's right. People describe the wood bed + toe + tote within an infill's metal shell as "stuffing".

I like Pat's definition more though: "I ignored Warren's advice to smoothly profile my close-set cap iron and my plane ended up all stuffed and sh*t".

And then there's "over stuffed" where the wood extends to the outside of the sides.

Oh it's showing off all right, just not by Jim. That's the very first Sauer & Steiner ever made.

Mix ground beef, pepper, salt, a bit of chili powder, cardimon, and diced onions. Fill the plane body, top with cheese and tomatoe sauce. Cook in preheated oven 250 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve with warmed chisels.

Now that sounds like some good "sole" food!
