$25 is not very expensive for a Forstner bit of that size. Otherwise, I'd try to find someone who has one and borrow it.

You could buy it and then sell it here or on eBay.

Here's one for $11.34 CDN (http://store.workshopsupply.com/catalogue/dimar-canada-dimar-forstner-bit-316-p-2282.html), which makes it $8.58 U.S.

Do a Google search for 2 3/16 forstner bit and there are several listings.

For a decent quality Forstner bit that size $25 sounds reasonable to me.

Perhaps their site hasn't been updated recently to reflect current currency valuation. I don't know what eh across border duties, taxes and shipping might be.

Have you thought about using a router? A spiral up cut bit, your router, a router bushing, and a plywood template cut with a scroll saw would make one, or many holes that diameter, and you wouldn't need a forstner bit.

Thanks guys, well I did check what Lee posted and I think the 8 bucks was for shipping. But I exit out then went back then the shipping went up to 15 bucks. At LV the shipping is 1/2 but don't do Paypal.Yep,I guess I could make a template but the bit is for making a jig for setting up to drill holes for a back plate which is for a 4jaw chuck.Needed an 2 3/16 hole so that I can mount the plate on and rotate it for those holes.I may just try to cut a square hole to size 2 3/16 then see how the back plate fits.------Carroll
