I have a Craftsman flex-drive table saw which is doing the job fine for now.

However, I usually check CL every so often in case a (rare) good tool deal comes along.

What is your opinion on this table saw?

Also, there is another interesting saw on CL (I am much less interested in this one):

Thanks

I've seen one of those Yates-American saws a long time ago. If I remember correctly, the fence rails are integral with the table. That would make it hard to install an after-market rip fence, like the Biesmeyer.
I'm not sure about the other saw. I can't really tell what it is.
I'd keep[ my eye out for a used Unisaw or a Powermatic 66.

Are you looking for an everyday user to replace your flex drive, or are you looking for a restoration project?

I'm looking for an everyday use table saw.

I am willing to put some work into it if needed.

I have installed a Delta T-fence on my flex drive saw which could be moved to a new saw if needed.

I'd definitely look for something a little more common then....parts will be easier to get for a popular saw. Having that Delta fence should help a lot. There are usually a lot of decent full size saws with lousy fences that sell pretty cheap.

I think at that price for the Yates it's worth taking a look at. Take a look over at OWWM.org and see if there is any info on the saw. I see someone restored the same model.
