One for Roger ..... a little spindle turning with zero sanding and deliberately turned to emulate the handi-work of middle eastern turners.
This was my IG display piece at the 2015 Turnfest symposium on the Gold Coast, Australia.

Nice job Geoff. What size are the spheres? Think I'll adopt this for my 2017, 2018 & 2019 project!!

David the larger spheres are a touch over 3/4".
The holes were deliberately drilled slightly below center on the lathe to give more of the offset hand made look. Not sure that it really worked. I have been exploring the randomness of patterns vs rigid geometric perfection partly a result of my career as a surveyor. I like the idea of symmetric patterns that exhibit some asymmetry.
