Just bought a used edge sander it was in nice shape, but it was missing the dust collector chutes at both ends. Does anyone know where to buy parts or a manual for this machine?

Ritter as a company no longer exists. They shut down last fall.

Don't worry though, the factory hookup is borderline useless

Any aftermarket parts suppliers?

Not that I'm aware of. It's just a thin piece of steel bent over with a hole in it, you could really have any local fab shop with a brake make one up. I'd put a 6" hose on it instead of the 4"

See if Grizzly might have some parts that might work. They will probably need some modification.

I just use a sheet metal HVAC vent transition with approx 4" x 8" rectangular opening that bends into a 5" round. Not on a Ritter sander, but on an edge sander.

Thanks for the information, and ideas sheet metal from a fab shop sounds like my best option..........

I know I posted this elsewhere but we picked up the Ritter line and we are building their machines / servicing machines out of our Holland Michigan facility. Can't put the link on here, but if you google the new name, Ritter Machinery Company, then you will find us.

There you will find a few pictures of the new R701 we just shipped last week.

I have an Acme edger. I made an end hood using scrap lumber, 1/8" hardboard, a glue gun and an 18 gauge nailer.
