Cherry Burl HF

Had a client commission me to make a HF for her husband. The cherry burl came from the site of the new hospital where her husband works. It is 8 1/8"W x 6 1/4"H. There are three large voids in this piece. C&C welcome

That's just beautiful Steve, and you are a braver man than I! Do you have any "before" and in progress shots? I would love to see how something like that comes together.

Thanks Doug. Sorry, I don't have any progress shots to share. I will tell you that on HF like this, I will use a a lot of shrink wrap to help hold it together as I'm hollowing it out. It also keeps things from flying out that might cause a hazard to one's health. On the next one I do like this, I'll try and get some progress shots and post them.
