Whats the table length? What fence does it have? Any accessories and if so which? Mobile base? Overarm dust collector? Extra brakes? Come with any blades? Need some more info to answer this question.

Saw Stop Professional 1.75 HP 110v table saw with 36" T-glide Fence and Extension Table. Includes the Industrial Mobile Base which pneumatically lifts and gently sets down the entire saw.

That base is $300 new and that is almost a grand off a new saw not to mention tax and shipping and I bet he has a decent blade in it maybe.

Okay, cool, that helps. So, AcmeTools (SawStop authorized reseller) sells that saw free shipping, no tax for most + eBay Bucks (about $100 if you do the eBay thing) for $2719 (LINK (http://www.acmetools.com/shop/tools/sawstop-pcs175-tgp236-cabinet-saw-with-36-inch-fence-10-inch)) and the ICS mobile base for $328 with the PCS conversion kit thats needed (LINK (http://www.acmetools.com/shop/tools/sawstop-mb-pcs-ind)). Also right now SawStop is doing their annual free Overarm Dust Collector or integrated mobile base for any PCS purchase so that would be a free $200 item (LINK (http://www.acmetools.com/shop/SearchDisplay?searchType=1002&storeUserType=G&categoryId=&searchTerm=SAWSTOPPCSMIR&storeId=10751&catalogId=10551&langId=-1&pageSize=24&beginIndex=0&sType=SimpleSearch&resultCatEntryType=2&showResultsPage=true&searchSource=Q&pageView=)). That all being said, for $1800 youd be getting roughly a $3000 saw setup. Thats not taking into account the free Overarm dust collector deal thats going on right now though. Does that seem good enough of a deal to you?

I certainly wouldn't try to talk anyone out of buying a SawStop because I like them too, but IMHO, that is a lot of money for a 1.75 HP saw.
