Hello all I will post some pictures of the finished product when I get it done but I came across these little holes332788332789 while turning they are soft and it seems like something is in there but I cant tell what it is there are a few of them, its a cherry blank by the way .... any way I would be grateful for any input on the matter.
Thanks again all,

They look to me like worm holes, and they are filled with ...... Well, worm poop.

Frass: 'debris or excrement produced by insects'. Spell check doesn't know it, and not in my old 1970 dictionary, but thank google.... You can flood it with thin or medium CA glue, or use a dental pick to pick it out.

+1 on Frass........end product of the digestive process from worms in wood......looks like the first pic actually might have been the end of the worm. I think "Frass" is derived as short for "from a--," but not certain on that! ;)

Another possibility is lead shot, if the material is grey.

Almost shot coffee out of my nose on that one. Totally believable story.
