Spent Saturday in a Stuart Mortimer (the twist master) demo here in Colorado Springs, and got all motivated to put some twist and spirals in stuff. Here’s the first item off my lathe today….an Osage Orange bottle stopper with four twist in the torch. Now I need to figure out how to put some twist in a yo-yo.

That is really nice Ed.

Are there attachments used for a fixed cutting tool? What do you use to get that spiral?

Good idea Ed. The twist not only look good, they provide the palm some grip when removing the stopper. You will probably be inlaying the twist before long.
