Very cool. The snow really adds to the depth of the photos. And it looks like it took a lot of rigging to get some of the shots.

When we first visited, years ago, the visitor center had photo's of a large group of lumberjacks standing on a stump. Another photo showed what must have been 20 people hand in hand showing width of a standing tree.

If I remember correctly, the thing that saved the giant sequoias was that they would shatter when felled, and a lot of the lumber would be unusable.

I always thought it was the General Sherman tree. Very cool and the meaning of the word: awesome!

We visited these trees in August of 2015 but cannot remember this specific tree. They were all beautiful.
