I'd started this project back in 2014 and then finished it in late 2015 because of a bed project that I needed to finish first. This table is based on the original piece pictured below made by Selva (http://www.selva.com/en/about/selva-interiors/10-0.html), an Italian designer/producer.

The top and the bottom tray are 3/4" beech ply, while the legs, apron, drawer fronts, edge banding, and molding are all steamed European beech. The drawer pulls are made with dragon's vein agate, found on Etsy.

The beech is stained with a MinWax water based stain (Oriental Ginger) and then brushed with 3 coats of GF Endurovar semi-gloss.

She looks great Mike. beech does not get enough play in the west IMHO. It works like buttah and can be quite beautiful as you have demonstrated. I like your pulls versus the drop pulls on the Selva too; nice choice.

Very nice. I see that your drawer gets the remotes and the coasters. Where's the box of chocolates for her drawer?

Very nice Mike! With furniture like that, I can see why you had other projects to complete. I'm sure you're a hero around the house and equally sure you will may other requests!

THanks for posting.

I really like that. Such a nice, clean design, and excellent workmanship. I can't say I've ever seen a nicer brushed finish either. Very well done, sir.
